What kind of game is Red Command?
Red Command is a free war strategy game for iPhone, iPad and Android in the style of the classic PC war games: blue against red, tank columns, Tesla coils and a commander giving the orders. Enemy forces attack your base in waves; you aim the main gun, pick new tech between waves and upgrade commanders, turrets and walls for the next mission.
Battles run in real time, like the classic RTS games it grew out of, but the shape is base defense: you don't send units across the map, you decide what stands on the wall and where the main gun points. If you grew up on classic PC war strategy (red against blue, Tesla coils, tank rushes) and want it in short mobile missions, Red Command is built for that.
- Engineer
Commander! We've got a situation... an enemy raiding party is approaching our refineries!
- Soviet Partisan
This base now belongs to the people!
- Vice President
Come get some 88-mm of democracy!
How a mission works
Twenty waves to a stage
Enemy infantry, jeeps and tanks attack your base in waves. Your wall takes the hits while your guns work the field. Elite units and bosses turn up when the scanners say so.
You aim the main gun
The base weapon fires on its own, but tap or slide across the battlefield and it fires where you point. After the shot it goes back to automatic aiming.
Tech Choice between waves
Collect enough scrap and you pick a new tech to upgrade your base defense. Don't like the offer? Spend a die to reroll it.
Three stars, three chests
Clear the stage for the first star, keep more than half of your base health for the second, finish at full health for the third.
What guns hold the wall?
Five main base weapons and ten turrets, each in one of six damage elements: Metal, Fire, Electric, Toxic, Void, Plasma. Pick a counter to read its intel.
Main base weapon
One equipped. It fires on its own, and you can aim it.
Turrets
Up to three next to the main gun. They unlock as your profile levels.
Who gives the orders?
Commanders are the generals you upgrade between missions. Each one strengthens your turrets, most of them the turrets of their own element, and their power carries into every battle.

Frontline commander. Disciplined and trusted with high-risk operations.

Katya
Electric commander

Sora

Hattori

What is coming at your wall?
The red army comes in tiers: infantry first, then vehicles, armor and elite tanks, with a boss at the end of the line. A Bounty Drone sometimes crosses the field with loot; shoot it before it escapes.

III. Urban Rush
Stages 21–30

IV. Snowfall Zone

Beyond the campaign
- Hard Mode
- Every stage you've cleared can be fought again on Hard.
- Infested Area
- A separate challenge: clear the areas and destroy the hives, against creatures instead of tanks. Entry costs tickets, attempts are limited per day and the run resets weekly.
- Quick Battle
- Collect hours of base income at once without playing a stage.
- Supply Train and events
- The Supply Train and limited events like Iron Harvest bring their own rewards, commanders and currencies.
- Daily and weekly tasks
- Daily challenges, weekly tasks and the Fusion Frenzy pass pay out for playing regularly.
Your base between missions
Between missions you run the base on the map. The Power Reactor makes the energy every mission costs, the Steel Factory makes steel for base and wall upgrades, and the base keeps earning coins and materials while you're away. The Laboratory and the Command Center open more as you progress, and the base itself comes in a dozen skins.
- Power Reactor
- Steel Factory
- Coin Processing
- Gem Mine
- Laboratory
- Command Center
- Wreckyard

What is Red Command?
Red Command (full store name Red Command - War Alert RTS) is a free mobile war strategy game for Android and iOS. It is built around the mood of classic PC war strategy: blue against red, tank columns, Tesla coils and a commander giving the orders. You defend your base against waves of enemy infantry, vehicles and tanks, aim the main gun yourself and upgrade your army between missions.
Is Red Command free to play?
Yes. Red Command is free on Google Play and the App Store. It has optional in-app purchases, including random items, and ads.
Is Red Command on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It's on Google Play for Android phones and tablets, and on the App Store for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 15 or later.
Is Red Command a real-time strategy game or tower defense?
Both labels fit part of it. Battles run in real time and you make the calls as the enemy advances, like in the classic RTS games it's inspired by. The structure is base defense: enemy forces attack your base and wall in waves, you choose which turrets and tech to bring, and you aim the main gun yourself.
How does a mission work?
A stage is twenty waves. Your base weapon fires automatically, and you can tap or slide across the battlefield to aim it. Between waves you pick new tech from a Tech Choice (dice reroll the offer). Clear the stage, keep more than half your health and finish untouched to earn all three stars.
What weapons and turrets are there?
Five main base weapons: Heavy Cannon, Warhead Launcher, Rift Cannon, Phalanx Twins and Ion Lance. Next to it you equip up to three turrets from ten: Sentry Gun, Rocket Launcher, Acid Spitter, Railgun, Rift Emitter, Laser Tower, Tesla Coil, Beam Lance, Ion Cannon and Gatling Box. Damage comes in six elements: Metal, Fire, Electric, Toxic, Void and Plasma.
Who are the commanders?
Commanders are the generals you upgrade. Each boosts your turrets in their own way, most by element. They include Scarlett, Katya, Sora, Cooper, Zahir, Sokolov, Gideon, Weiss, Samira, Briggs and Hattori.
What enemies do you fight?
Conscripts and Shock Troopers on foot, Patrol Jeeps, Suppressors and Drillers, Siege Tanks and War Bastions, elite Annihilator and Tesla Tanks, and the Titan Walker and Dominion Tank as bosses. The Infested Area challenge swaps them for hive creatures.
How long is the campaign?
The campaign runs fifty stages of twenty waves through Forest Warzone, Dune Patrol, Urban Rush and Snowfall Zone, then back into the Forest Warzone for stages 41 to 50, and keeps looping after that. Every cleared stage can be replayed on Hard Mode.
Does Red Command earn while I'm offline?
Your base keeps producing coins and materials while the game is closed, and Quick Battle collects hours of income at once. Energy, which missions cost, comes from the Power Reactor.
What age rating does Red Command have?
Google Play rates it Teen (violence, blood; in-game purchases including random items). The App Store rates it 12+.
Who makes Red Command?
Red Command is developed and published by TINYSOFT s.r.o. It launched on the App Store on July 27, 2026.
